My wife and I set out from our home, sometimes with no plan but to walk and talk. We go fast enough that we sweat, but not so quickly that we can't speak. We don't want life to pass by and leave us constantly trying to catch our breath and catch up with each other.
It's slow, but moving.
It's moving, but there's no pain.
There's no pain, but there is something to be gained.
I don't need speed. I don't need solutions right here or right now. I want them, but I don't need them. I'm going to enjoy the process for what it is, and not rush to the end just to be done.
Not in spending time with my spouse or my children. Not in life.
I choose to walk.
